Hydrofarm JSV2 – 2ft Grow Light System

 

Lighting is a very important part of hydroponic gardening.  The Hydrofarm JSV2 2-Foot Jump Start T5 Grow Light System is an excellent and well built florescent grow light for getting your seedlings off to a great start!   The premium quality fluorescent fixture  is UL listed . It has a sturdy wide reflector, so that it can provide maximum coverage of light to your plants.

 

It is sturdy, durable and very easy to assemble.  The  light bulb that is pre-installed is a 24 watt T5 6400k High output fluorescent bulb, which is very efficient . Since it is a low heat bulb, it can be placed very close to your plants without the risk of scorching them.

This grow light is very efficient, using minimal electricity, while still having high output of the light spectrum that plants love.   This Hyrofarm JSV2 is perfect for starting a large tray of your hydroponic seedlings in rockwool cubes.

This unit is super easy to put together, which is a great plus.   It is the smaller brother to the Hydrofarm JSV4, which is the 4 foot version of this style grow light.  This 2 foot unit is nice and compact if you have a small area.  The six foot cord has a convenient on-off switch built in.

 

 

 

Adjusting the height of this grow light is very easy to do!  The light is suspended by two chains from the frame, making it super easy to get the light close to your seedlings.   And as they grow, the chain makes is simple to continually adjust the distance from the plants so that it is optimum.
